This operation consists in removing small parts of the branch inside a crown. The treatment is recommended for trees with a dense crown, such as lime, maples, hornbeams, and beeches

There are three degrees of intensity in this treatment:

1. 10% - minor thinning ( after a year, the crown is back to its initial state

2. 20%-moderate thinning

3. 30%- intense thinning, which is very good for small, cozy gardens, where there is a lack of sunlight- small trees and plants are not able to grow
